About the event
Fams of Steel is not just a support group; it’s part of Autism Pittsburgh’s commitment to coalition building across Western Pennsylvania. We believe that real change happens when families, educators, community leaders, and autistic individuals come together to shape more inclusive systems.
Through Fams of Steel, we:
Partner with libraries, schools, and disability organizations
Connect families to Medicaid-funded services without promoting one therapeutic model over another
Advocate for trauma-informed, person-centered supports
Lift up the voices of those most often left out
